    Brownells: Aguila Minishell Slugs

These have been somewhat scarce lately, decent price if you go big (500 round box is $430 before discounts) and stack the savings. The 20 round box is $19 before discounts.

Use code M3P if you're in the $10 off $100 market, M5W for $30 off $300 (ideally a $40-45 off $400 code will pop up). Additional 4% off with AJ...

Normally I just play around with these in my coach gun, quite fun albeit expensive novelty. I picked up one of these adapters recently for my Mossy, didn't even know they existed.

Wow I did not either, I can run mini's in my Mossberg 500.... hmmm. Are the mini slugs worthy of a Self Defense round?

low recoil slugs/buck are about the same price, with no jamming issue...

I think the main aspect is they are shorter so more fit in the tube.

Think they would run in my Benelli M4? lol

The mini slugs themselves are probably up for the task, although I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be running them with the adapter for SD. It might be worth putting to the test for someone recoil sensitive, in my experience they shoot softer than low-recoil 2-3/4" shells. The extra capacity is nice and really shows in a KSG or similar dual mag tube shotty. I've read/viewed that the KSG and Winchester 1300 cycle these most reliably without any modification or adapter needed.

Recently I picked up an adapter for my Mossy 590 and have enjoyed range shooting with the mini shells, less recoil and all. I don't feel cocmfortable using the adapter fitted 590 for home defense as the adapter's perch is tenuous (it would dislodge at a critical moment). Practice with the adapter/mini combo, keep the piece loaded with full size slugs/buck for home defense.
