Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot - $43 after rebate

I know there's another thread on this, but this will help those on the fence.

    Amazon link

so it's about $55 on amazon plus tax.

but your rebate will get you back $13.75

Also available - $45.42 open box, like new condition on amazon (don't know if this also qualifies for the rebate)

You can also buy it on Ebay for $63 with free shipping. Use the 20% off on Ebay and then 25% off from Bushnell. Not sure which price Bushnell will use, but probably after the 20% off. That would be the $50.40. So 25% off of that would be $37.80.

Don't forget most of us have to pay tax on anything bought at Amazon. Also, there are cheaper ones up that appear to charge for shipping. I didn't bother to check it out.

Biggest question is will Bushnell honor a eBay receipt and purchase for their rebate?

I've seen one ebay seller also mention the rebate, so that seller seems to be an authorized dealer, but you should definitely double check.

Put it in your cart and add the code. Easiest way to find out. Make sure you cancel the code before you leave the site. I've checked a half dozen vendors that way and every one that deals with firearms accepted it. Besides, it's not the vendors, it Ebay who accepts it and pays for it.

I'm asking if bushnell will accept the pay pal receipt to give the 25% rebate or does it have to be purchased from a store and not eBay.

Oh. Why shouldn't they?? I haven't looked at their fine print, but does Winchester care where and for how much you paid for their ammo when you apply for the rebate?? I haven't looked, but on Amazon, there's a box you can click on to print a sales receipt that is good for the rebaters. I wouldn't be surprised to learn Ebay has the same. Remember, too, most eBay'ers are set up as stores. Optics Planet and Primary Arms, to name a few, have "stores" on Ebay.

Good luck. Maybe some others can comment on this.

If there was more time, you could send them an email and ask them.

                    Thanks OP.
(P.S. already had two red dot but with this price and rebate I don't mind to get one more . I paid my first TRS25 ~= $85+tax).

First one I received from Amazon today was defective. Guess you get what you pay for in a $50 optic. Replacement should be here tomorrow, hopefully 2nd times the charm.

So mine came in last night. I don't have any issues with the red dot disappearing, however I was wondering if anyone could tell me if my unit is off. My reticle is not prefectly round, kind of looks like a $3 laser pointer, where the dot looks like a weird ink spot.

Maybe I'm being picky, I can't really pick up the image with my camera either, kuz its pretty bright. What are your opinions guys, much appreciated.

I've owned around 7 or 8 of the TRS-25 red dots sights over the years and put them on budget builds.... then sold them, and bought more when I built more AR rifles. I also just bought another one for the hell of it at the price above w/ rebate, just to keep as a spare if I build something else later.

All of them looked exactly like how you explained it - like a laser pointer, or a stretched out circle that's not perfectly oval shaped (one reason why I kept selling or giving away my old ones as I thought I'd be cool with it, but never was). I've never seen a TRS-25 with a perfect circle red dot reticle.

So to answer you question, nothing's wrong with yours.

                            Thanks for the reply.

yeh it's kind of like this:

this may be an exaggeration though, this one looks awful.

I'll keep this sight for now.

They are luck of the draw. I did have amazon do a couple exchanges and got a pretty nice one on the 3rd pass.
