BCA Reciprocating Side Charging AR15 Upper Receiver with BCG $183 Shipped

I've been keeping an eye on these for a while, but have hesitated taking the plunge at the full price of $208. They're now on sale for $159.90. With $10 flat rate shipping and tax, mine came out to $183.xx

If you prefer a non-branded version, SI Arsenal has what looks to be the same part without the BCA logo on the left side for $175 plus $17.xx shipping to Anaheim.

Considering most other side-charging options start around $200-300 without the BCG, this feels like a steal!

Completely agree, but those are non-reciprocating, whereas the BCA offering is reciprocating.

Now, if this was with the side charger on the left side, I'll be all over it.

Absolutely true. If I had a bigger budget, I'd have one of these:

Mid State Firearms offers durable AR-15 and AR-10 upper assemblies, including .223 Wylde, 9mm, left-handed, bull barrel & lightweight options. Quality builds with BCG. Blemished deals too.

Similar to the New Frontier style, but the handle mechanism is all internal - it doesn't extend from the back of the receiver during operation.

Looks nice. It's a proprietary bolt carrier. Are the BCG parts (bolt, pins, etc.) standard BCG parts? It looks like a screw at the rear end of the upper receiver. Does it need to be loosened/taken off for disassembly?

I don't have it in hand yet, but everything I've read says the BCG is completely standard except for the tapped-hole for the handle.

The screw/plug at the rear end is to cover the opening so gas doesn't blow in your face when the bolt cycles. You remove the screw on the back of the receiver and the handle from the side to take the BCG out.

This is the Matrix Arms side charging upper, not the NFA.

New Frontier Armory – a leading firearms manufacturer in Las Vegas, Nevada. Veteran-owned and operated, specializing in AR manufacturing and top-quality firearms.

The NFA requires a proprietary cam pin, the Matrix Arms does not.

I have no idea, but I like where you're going with this.

Wow, great job guys! I think for $225 the NFA just might be the way to go. $60-$70 more for non-reciprocating? I'd have to pop the extra bucks for that.

Bear creek tec confirmed ejection port is g2g for 458 socom. Also said untested for 50. Thinking time & price is right for a side charging big bore upper

Where did it break? I assume the screw that holds it?

Looking at the Tromix LW barrel bolt combo in 458. Anyone know of any other better deals ?
