I'm guessing hazmat is not considered "standard shipping"

Pretty good deal. Just ordered Federal Am Eagle .223. They have a $10 rebate. With gift cards I believe the final cost .25 per round if my math is correct.

Does Cabela's have sales on centerfire handgun ammunition?
        Their prices seem very high.

Prices for handgun ammo are okay. Have ordered in the past with promos/gift cards.
SVM gift cards and Cabela's free shipping/sales drop prices.

Thanks. I have two $100 Cabela's gift cards, but can't bring myself to spend them on overpriced .38 special.
I'll be patient until December, 2017.

But you can't stack the codes. So you either get free shipping or $20 off.

Yeah, you just have to be patient. Cabelas periodically runs sales on handgun ammo, that will make the price when using discounted gift cards "pretty good." They also run a sale for 10% off everything plus free shipping pretty regularly. The way to get a great deal at Cabela's is to use one of those sales to buy something already on sale with discounted gift cards and ActiveJunky or similar site. With some luck you get a rebate thrown in as well. When the stars line up like that, their prices are absolutely the lowest anywhere. Be patient.

Remember, we only pay $80 for those gift cards. No, C's regular prices are not good. However, when the item(s) are on sale, and an additonal 20% off using gift cards, and a rebate from one of the firms, esp. when they use to be 6-12% off all ammo except 22lr, and throw in an additional 10% off and free shipping from C's, it is always an unbeatable deal for the same item elsewhere.
