By the time you factor in transfer fee and magazines, you're over $400. Not worth it in my opinion.

For some of you still interested, Gunbroker has several regular sellers selling Police trade in G3 G22's for around that price all the time . The going rate seems to be around $280-$319 (with or without magazines & with or without original case)

When factoring a good deal or not, the shipping cost and the number of mags included at that price may be a determining factor. From what I have seen before some sellers had up to 5 mags included in the price.

Also (last time I checked), if you live here in Socal, Baboosh here on Calguns has a high-cap CA permit to accept the over 10 rounders magazines and convert them to 10 rounder for you for a fee. That all depends on the willingness of the seller to ship these high-cap mags to CA. Double check if this is still the case with Baboosh tho..

              So for around $400 OTD that's a savings of around $170 for a brand new G22 selling at $499 ( +tax + DROS) locally.

You decide... but think about helping your local gun store as well like Baboosh!

How's it not worth it , most Leo trades have minimal use , just holster wear, most Leo shoot them only when they have to, like 100 rounds twice a year for quals. 400 trade in compared to same gun on the forum here with likely thousands of rounds for 600

Maybe you need to find a better place to transfer. There's quite a few that charge $25 for transfer around here so that would put me at around $374 plus whatever shipping is.

Even at $400 or just over, it's still better than what you'll find in the market place.

I guess I value the finish more. I'll take a couple thousand rounds over a sh*tty finish any day. Barrels last 20-30k or more and will outlast most people....but you'll never get your original finish back. Sure you could cerakote, but not the same.

The fact that it sold out shows that some liked the price....

Also a price check for the $600 used glocks in the marketplace

My g23 was pretty clean. My buddy got an unused Leo trade in mint the same day.

My g22 was 10/10 on finish but the barrel showed signs of use. I'm guessing it had seen under 1000 rounds.

They were nice enough to pull 5 out and let me pick the one I wanted.

River City also have some LEO G21s and G17s. Ask to see the ones in back because the display ones look worn. I got near-new G21sf and G17s for good prices. Only 1 magazine though.
