For the ugliest stock ever... that price isn't good enough.

I prefer the scout over the Socom. The scout is built with off the shelf parts.
Some say that he once mooned two prostitutes just for a round of drinks, but wasn't surprised by the reply......They call him, the Hutch
Some say that he rode a dirtbike 7k miles across the country and that he once applied Bengay to his own testicles for a mere $50............They call him, the Hutch -Top Gear

Nothing a can of paint can't fix

I picked one of these up last time they had them on sale a month back. Don't regret it one bit.

Anybody know off hand what's the cost for replacing this stock with a regular grey or black one? Are there upgraded versions available?

You should be able to find a sai m1a stock for about $100 used. Pretty commonly found as folks try to upgrade and sell their old stock

Check Fred's Stock .com for USGI M14 stocks. Both Walnut and fiberglass. Good site.

Someone is selling a fiberglass stock in San Diego for $100 + $14 shipping. You'd have to get it bedded and replace the upper handguard, but that's what you're looking at so far.

Yeah I looked into it. Seems like too much trouble just to mess around with a rifle I don't have any experience with. I think I'll wait for somebody to unload one on the sales board for a decent price (I've missed a couple steals already).

I'm still considering this one but man that stock is horrendous.

Yeah. It's one of those things where I could deal with it for the price, then the first look wasn't too bad, but the more I stare at it the more I wanna vomit. But if you're going to be throwing it into a chassis anyways it's not bad.

You can buy a real nice AR10 for that much dough. I say this as someone who has been a Garand owner for ~25 years - unless you like fiddling with guns, get a decent AR10 from a reputable company. My M1A is OLD and mostly USGI, the number of problems I've seen with SA Inc Garands and M1A's made OLD a priority for me when purchasing. I just twisted on my last 308 barrel on a 1942 Garand receiver, I'll finish ream it tomorrow. Building an AR is a LOT easier and keeping one running ACCURATELY is easier as well. Unless you have room on your bookshelf for more documentation, consider another avenue for getting a big bore gas gun in the safe.

Anyone know a PSA discount code to stack with this? I want to order this but figured I'd ask first.
