Buy a stack on gun cabinet. Half the price and it's not portable once you bolt it to the studs in your closet. Not a safe by any means but a much better way to keep guns out of sight.

Check out this safe. It's on sale right now. And at least you get 30min fire protection. $599 delivered after $200off. http://m.costco.com/.product.11625662.html it's made by Rhino Safe Co. a very well known safe company. It's their lower end line just for Costco, but at least it's made by a big brand name safe company that knows what they are doing.Looking for RPR or Precision Rifle Accessories? I have two of these. I can actually fit 4 rifles in each one pretty easily. Lightweight and overall I'm pretty happy with them. Shop around and you can find them cheaper....I'm pretty sure I didn't pay much over $100 each.
Edit: Here's one that appears to be the same for $60 shipped

I have this SKB case and am very pleased with it.
It's on sale here for $179.99, but with the current $20 off deal (code: HUNTISON) and 9% off at Active Junky, it comes in under your $150 limit.

None of the products we're talking about are "airtight" in the sense that if exposed to vaccum (assuming structural integrity was maintained) that they will not leak. I believe that's what Gasman was pointing out.
However, if we're talking about staying relatively low in the troposphere and just needing a case that is mostly "air-proof", then most of these will do just fine for general transportation and storage(even long-term) with a bit of prep before closing the lid... assuming they'll be left in a closet or basement and not strapped to the bottom of a dock.Comment
