Anybody mess with theirs yet? What I didn't like was the "plick and pull" foam was only the top layer vs. both top and bottom. Since I bought two, I'm going to use both PnP foams in one case and use that one as my gun case.. The other will be a utility case. Pictures to follow.

Kinda interested to see how you use two layers of the PnP. Wouldn't you lose the padding between the gun and the plastic of the case? (If im picturing correctly what your saying)...

^ Each layer is like 2" thick. So I'm thinking that's too thick to use as bottom padding. I was going to use a piece of cardboard between the gun and plastic of the case. Not 100% sure. I'll mess with it tonight.

Just scoured the entire Concord SamsClub....no cases.

Thankfully, I have a Pelican case that's not much bigger that holds 7 pistols and I have a ton of soft cases.

If you guys pluck just right, you should be able to end up with something like this...

Had the same issue with my Pelican case, I used a 1/8" piece of rubber in the bottom.

Yeah, I should have explained that I was looking to house 5 guns in the gun case so to do that they need to be upright vs. on their side. Therefore, I will need to use the entire depth of the case.

I'm going to use my bandsaw and slice about 3/8" off the bottom of the solid block.

Seems silly to have eggcrate in the top, but really nothing for the bottom. Of course, its silly to have one pice solid and one piece cubed too.

However, the box appears pretty solidly made.

Thanks OP. I picked one up tonight. My store showed 30 in stock. I had to find a worker to locate them. They were on the end of an isle near automotive.

I'm hoping to mod the foam to hold several pistols and magazines.

most people when buying/selling want the original case and the condition of the case might reflect it wasn't cared for much. idk

and its amateur bringing the OG box. duh

Unless you're in a hurricane at sea, it should stay dry. I imagine it would stay dry on a whitewater rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. Not many conditions are worse than simply hosing it down in the yard from all directions, and it passes that test according to IP55. How many times in your life would you submerge your gun case?
