First time I ever tried buying anything from Gandermountain. Last time I ever buy anything from them too. If they cannot keep their inventory up to date or list the restrictions I will not do business with them. Done

Just wanted to say that I called in and they'll be sending me a single box, free shipping, which I'll be fine with. Still a good deal, but the other would have been nice, though them's the breaks.

Also wanted to say Active Junky DID finally register my order from Gander Mountain, and they said I got diddly squat for 5 boxes .

Remember just because a member of a forum or a third party website provides a link that bypasses the pages where rules or policies are stated that one would normally have to pass through to place an order does not mean the policies aren't in place.
It was probably a glitch or whatever that allowed a limitless amount to be added but again they do have a policy whether we like it or agree with it.

Yeah... no, that's a faulty assumption of user/customer behavior. As someone who works for a deal site, we drive a LOT of business this way. Straight to product page with discount code and possibly additional instructions (Hell, some companies have the option to link a product page with the coupon code in the link to automatically add it to cart). Plenty of businesses are aware of this marketing wise, so Gander Mountain should be up to date on this. If they want to keep the product page clutter free, all they need to do is put (in bold red letters) "Limit 1" just under the add to cart button, along with a link to their rimfire ammo policy where one could read more.

Mistakes happen, and they're offering one box with free shipping, so that's a decent consolation.
