    Amazon Flashlight Deals

Coast HP1 Focusing 220 Lumen LED Flashlight $9.94 and prime

This is an awesome flashlight and for under $10 it is a steel. It is in my wife's flight kit (she's a flight attendant), in my car, in the kitchen drawer and I give out as Xmas presents.

1000 Lumen CREE LED Tactical Flashlight with FREE Holster, FREE Extension Tube $39.95

I don't know anything about this flashlight but it gets good reviews, plus it comes with extra goodies. It is normally priced at $59

Check out the Fenix brand of flashlights on Amazon. They are amazing gizmos for the money. I got one from my son, and have since given a few away as gifts.

The Coast HP1 is a great flashlight, but the most I've paid on Amazon is $8.49, I've purchased 6 of them so far.

Yup, normal price pretty much. But IMHO the $10 is worth it, compared to buying those $3-4 ones that many people do from amazon. I have probably 10 in this size range, and the coast is the one I normally reach for.

The Coast HL3 headlamp ($13) is high quality compared to the usual low price models out of China sold as Petzl or Black Diamond and so forth.

Petzl and BD sell good high price items, but their low price stuff is not quality. But Coast's cheapest sets are really nice, without weak points.

I have maybe 6 of those $10 Coast flashlights and I buy another every time I order something from Amazon.

                    My review:
                    - Can tail stand
                    - Forward click switch (ie can do momentary ON via soft press)
                    - No brightness modes but can emulate this via the zoom feature!
                    - Very bright, especially on zoomed in mode
                    - Excellent battery life! I have been using these things on nightly walks for 6 months and all still have the original battery. I have no idea how long they will actually go, but they are very good.
                    - Solid construction, good size
                    - Water proof? (At least 'water resistant')
                    - Great value

                          got my lights today...

didn't realize the HP1 was so dinky - but admittedly, I didnt look very closely at the Amazon add (as I didn't realize it ran on AA either)... pretty good light for ten bux though. Basic functionality - good all purpose light just to have around.

The TL1000 is a decent light for $40 (currently 60)... Runs on two CR123A in short config (which I prefer) or four CR123A with the extended handle (gives twice the run time supposedly)... I didn't really like the extended tube because batteries rattle a little (they don't in the short config) and the feel is awkward, being so skinny at that length.

The interface on the TL1000 is very intuitive - half click for each mode and the unit stays in last mode chosen... has momentary pause... overall feel is pretty decent.

For the price (that was in OP) these are pretty good lights... I'm partial to 4Sevens and Klarus - also have a couple Insight and Streamlight... these aren't quite as good as most that I use - but they are pretty good and a decent deal at the original price.
