Gun works, Pleasent Hill closing.. Good deals

My goto shop is closing. Im really sad about the whole deal. Anyways, i got a great deal on a sks, and they had another one in stock.
I turned down a sweet lefty Marlin bolt 22. Also a gent came in and got a semi auto 12 ga for 200 plus tax (older used model but in good shape less cracked stock).
They close 6/1 and this saturday is the last day for dros, Go get em!

They never rubbed me the wrong way, never really had anything I was interested in tho. They were always helpful knowing where to find what I was looking for. Sad to see a shop close down. Probably will stop by one last time.

Stop in to casper's hot dogs on Contra Costa Blvd.
Standing at the counter look to you left (West) 50ft.
Sad that another shop is folding.

The shop doesnt pull all the inventory out of the safe. Also the owners keep guns off sight as well, so if they dont have it, ask. Doesnt hurt. They might have something or not.
Dont expect a deal on a new firearm, but, used pieces are selling at good value. My sks ran 300, no tax and i piggy backed my dros. That marlin bolt, stainless, custom lefty for 400 is a good price too. Bull barrel, match trigger....

Did a couple PPTs there, nice guys, relatively quick transfers. Usually have a friendly chat, seemed knowledgable and ready to pass information on to the next generation.
I agree that their visible stock seemed limited, mostly used or consignment shotguns and rifles.
I think they did gunsmithing too? Never had any work done.

Gonna stop in during lunch today, maybe they'll have a lever-action in .45LC.

Is too bad, we need to support the small mom and pops gun stores, Pretty soon only Turners/ Big 5/ and Walmart will be left selling guns. That's too bad, although I've seen some ****ty customer service in some gun stores, owners need to get rid of the bad apples to keep the customer happy and with a great experience walking out the door. Noticed that about turners, they have some guys who just love guns and can talk about them all they long, sure there's a few that seem to just end their shift but they got some good employees.

You too skosh? I always felt unwelcomed the two or three times I visited. It's like they've never seen a brown person before. Oh well, I'd rather buy online and visit Kevin Smith. He's always fun.

The few? Have you read their Yelp reviews? That short, fat, chain smoking POS Ken misplaced my gun that I had shipped to them for over a week! I set up the delivery date so that I could DROS, go on vacation and get it out of jail when I returned.

HOW THE HAY'LL DO YOU MISPLACE A GUN????

I had proof it arrived and yet, he was adamant it never showed up.

Spent my whole vacation worrying/stressing about WTH happened to my pistol.

When I got back and went into DVG, Bill, the original owner and founder, was very apologetic about the whole situation and gave me a discount on the transfer fees. Turns out "somebody" received it and threw it in the bottom of one of the safes.

He went as far as to express out loud that he hoped that the business he built did not fail after he turned it over to Ken. Guess Bill should've bought a lottery ticket prior to retiring and selling DVG.

Rubbed the wrong way, you betcha.
