Looks like everybody has been cleared out of any 5.56 ammo over the last couple days. You could have got it cheaper a couple weeks ago but this seems to be the best deal going on in-stock ammo if you want to get some:

I just took a look at SWAmmo.com to see what they had on sale this weekend. It looks like they are sold out of all their .223/5.56 except for a few very expensive rounds. Could be they are just changing all the prices

You can try adding an item with free shipping to your order to reduce the shipping charge, but the discount codes only work if you meet the qualifying purchase amount on regular priced items. Shipping on 1000 was only $17, so very reasonable.

Because common sense says that once m855 is gone, everyone will go after 193. If you look around online you might notice it has already begun.
