Long time member with our new vendor account and store here. We recently opened our own online store, SAMFG.US, selling our GEN2 3D-printed fin grip wraps. These are printed with industrial grade ABS plastic, which is both extremely strong and durable (as anyone who has stepped on a LEGO can vouch for). We don't settle for weaker plastics like PLA for any functional parts, especially on a firearm.
We have various fin grip wraps for popular grips, both AR and AK, by Magpul, BCM, Hera, B5 and standard A2s. We also have stuff for stock SCAR and CZs. More will be introduced with time as I get a hold of more grips. We offer it in 6 colors so far, but custom colors are possible (just send us an email).
Everything is available with or without the aggressive front and back texturing. Personally I run with the textures myself. All grips are affordable at $16-$18 depending on options. We will slowly reintroduce decals (pictures on the backfin) as we start settling in more.
SAMFG was born during the chaos of all this Corona virus craziness. We started out just printing a ton, and I mean *A TON*, of of PPE like ear savers, face shields and face masks for our first responder friends and family. As Corona died down, we decided to shift over to something I personally love, the 2A. It was difficult finding CA compliant fin grips during this time so I decided to use my skill with 3D modelling and printing and rolled my own. These 3D printed fin grip wraps have a distinct advantage over the Kydex wraps when it comes to additional added features, like texturing (which we have), decals (which we will bring back), much more possibilities with customization, and in my opinion, just as strong when printed correctly. The possibilities are truly endless and not limited like more traditional Kydex wraps. Additionally, we can scale better. As demand increases, we just build more custom printers.
