Thank you! Are you planning to release it in different colors? White, perhaps?

Interesting, so if I had a G19. All I would have to do is buy a frame and switch over all the stock components to the new frame? This is completely legal as well?

Sorry I’m a newb. I really wanted to get a G19 but the Gen3 finger grooves was a no go. Thinking about getting a second gun in the future. This would be a nice solution to my situation.

          Thanks!

Does it contain the 3.7 ounces of 17-4 PH Stainless Steel required in order to lawfully be built into a complete weapon in California? (Please refer to Penal Code section 29180(b)(2)(B) for the requirement).

From the description/pictures on their website, it does not appear to contain the CA required amount of stainless steel.

However, until 07-01-2024; it is CA legal to make, import, advertise for sale, transfer, and possess that "80% receiver/frame" in CA.

Since 07-01-2018, it is not CA legal to do so.

Which is exactly my point, what can a California resident do with their frame other than use it as a paperweight?

What do we all think of the business practices of an outfit that promotes their product on a California oriented website knowing full well that their California customers cannot legally complete the frame?

Can you just glue a piece of metal onto the inside of the frame to add the required 3.7oz of metal ?

Not all calguns members are in CA, and even those who are have family/friends outside CA that might be very interested in such a product...

Please note: This is a new product announcement area, and not a legal advice topic. We sell 80% products in all states where permitted. With that said, presently all 80% frames and lowers are legal to sell and purchase in CA. However, CA is governed by a minefield of different laws when it comes to building 80% lowers. We cannot provide legal advice to CA residents or to the residents of all the other states who purchase 80% products from us.

That may be true, but that's not the focus of the forum. This is "Calguns", not "Texguns", "Idguns", "Nevguns" or whatever other kinda "guns".

This outfit's marketing leads the customer to believe that can build their 80% product into a completed weapon, which is not the case for the California market.

Nope: 1) That doesn't comply with the requirements of the statute. 2) There's no place inside the frame that you could fit the required amount of metal and still have the weapon function.

For now we are releasing frames in black and FDE as that comprises the vast majority of customers' preference. However, we have not ruled out also offering other colors. Please check back in Spring to see if additional colors have been added. Thanks!

No, the frame does not have 3.7 oz of steel in it.
