          John,

I called today and the person answering the phone stated that you rarely do TiAlN coatings. I'm looking to have a Glock slide done in TiAlN. How frequent are the runs of TiAlN? Can I be notified when you do a run? I live in Santee, so I'm close.

            "And shepherds we shall be.
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand.
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee.
And Teeming with souls shall it ever be.

              Personal experience with CSG:

I drove to their location twice now. First time, they were closed at 4:15 PM even though Google shows them open until 5:00 PM. The second time, I arrived at 3:50 PM and walked into the front door. There is a small reception area, but nobody was at the desk. I heard people talking in the back, and waited until someone arrived. At 3:55 PM, two workers walked out. I explained that I wanted to drop off some parts to have coated. The worker then stated they close at 4, and to come back tomorrow.

This place is either too busy or simply does not want your business. I would go somewhere else.

Okay so the first time you went, you didn't verify what time they actually closed. Not really their fault, I would have called in to confirm, personally.

At 350pm, they're probably not expecting another customer and closing up shop for the day. Why not try to drop by around 2pm or something?

I'm planning to send one of my barrels to them for TiN coating. Just wish I saw this deal earlier, but still not a bad price.

True, I could have verified. I really wasn't upset about it since it's not their responsibility to inform me of their operating hours. However, when I did call, the person answering the phone stated advertised services were not available, (see my previous post about TiAlN) and when I did talk to the person close to closing, he wouldn't let me leave the parts with my information and call the next morning to give the details on the coating.

Additionally, I emailed John on December 29 and I still have not received a reply. In my opinion, it doesn't seem like they need/want the business and wanted to spare others the hassle. If you have a different experience, I would love to hear about it.

What type of parts were you leaving? I don't know what their process is for sending parts in but I assume it requires logging each individual piece to make sure parts don't get mixed up with others.

Additionally, an email can easily get overlooked when things are hectic. I know this happens to me all the time, it could be an honest mistake.

I don't have any experience with them, just giving them the benefit of the doubt, I guess. Seeing that they are a paying vendor on calguns, I think it's only fair to give them that much.

Appreciate your review though, it's definitely enough for me to consider doing a little more shopping around for other options before sending my parts to them.

                      WTF? Seriously?

No wonder this country is going to hell and work is going over seas.

What it sounds like is they need a business plan / standard operating procedure.

Two designated representatives, one being the lead.

Fixtures & Jigs should be planned and implemented. A structured time table that allows flexibility for production runs.

The firearm business is a fickle industry with your competition and/or those whom perceive your a threat to their business being extremely adversarial' they will do all they can to cull you.

The firearm clients all so run the gambit...But they can be your biggest asset if you treat them professionally and on a personal level.

If this company wishes to disregard the public and only work with vendors whom meets a prerequisite that facilitates the companies parts count it would be nice to see them openly solicit RFQ's.
