    Melonited/Nitrided Bolt Carrier Groups

    New from ALPHA SHOOTING SPORTS
    MEL-16 BCG

    Melonited M-16 bolt carrier group

Meloniting, also known as black nitride or nitro carburization offers increased abrasion and corrosion resistance. This treatment also lowers the coefficient of friction and increases life of the bolt carrier group. Unlike plating this process penetrates the surface and wont flake off as well as maintaining all the orginal dimensions. Our bolt carrier groups are processed with the QPQ process.

    Benefits:

■Corrosion resistance inside and out. Superior to chrome lined and parkerized bolt carrier groups.
■Slicker hardened surface and very little lubrication needed to run.
    ■Easier to clean
■Increased bolt carrier life. Every part has be individually melonite/nitride treated with the exception for the firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, extractor spring, extractor spring insert.

■Includes extractor o-ring for increased extracting reliability. Beefier M16 Carrier.

The price is great. I am a bit afraid of buying an unknown Bolt/ Carrier as after mags, bolts are the next weak link in the AR platform.

Can you expand on the bolt?

Is it made in house or are you buying bolts in the white and coating them?
            MPI tested?
Steel alloys used for bolt and carrier?

            Thanks

1 Year Warranty against malfunctions and defects

              9310 steel shot peened bolt
              8620 carrier

We by them in quantity in the white ready to be plated and then melonite and assemble.

Melonite is more of a treatment to the surface then a coating/plating.

              100% made in the USA

They're M16 not the AR-15 Carrier. The bolt is MP inspected.

This is what their melonite bcg looks like after 200 rounds without any lube. Didn't run into any problems so I bought a couple more! Thanks Johnny! Will you be at the gun show?
