They are up to 90 lumens. That is quite bright for the LED they use. Current generation ones are twice as bright but also a lot more $$$. It is brighter than a Surefire 6P though by a bunch. I have the 2C MH one myself and carry it almost daily and it is very nice.

what kind of batteries does it take? are there rechargeable ones?

These all take the 123 Lithium type batteries.

While there are 123 type rechargeable batteries, they are not recommended for any remotely hi currrent flashlight. Compared to Xenon bulbed flashlights these are low current, but they are higher than a camera which is what the 123 rechargeable are specced at I believe.

A standard Surefire 6P will get approximately 1 hour on a set of 123s. These flashlights will last multiple times that.

Sorry I missed this question. I did not have this thread in my subscription list for some reason... (fixed)

The Momentary version of the light means that the light shines as long as you are pushing in the button but when you let off, it goes off. If you push it in all the way and trigger the switch, it stays on until you switch it off.

What's the actual lumen ratio "out the front?" [edited for possibly thread crapping. sorry!]

Do you know if this light takes the 18650 rechargeables? That'd make things better for a cop so he doesn't go broke replacing expensive 123a cells. And I'm guessing that kind of tailcap might drain batteries making the rechargeables the way to go. I do like the regulated circuitry on it. Did I mention it was a good looking light?
