Not to mention that S&B, Aguila and PMC are all inferior to Federal Mil-Spec 5.56 ammo.

What evidence other than your opinion supports such a claim? Personally, I believe that ammo will NEVER go back down and will continue to go up. The purchasing power of the dollar is going down, raw material costs are going up and there is greater and greater demand from China and India. I also believe that we are going to see higher levels of inflation this year. So no, I really don't think the prices are going down any time soon.

There was a post on arfcom about a BIG canceled .mil/.gov order. Thats the reason everyone has this stuff is on the market all of a sudden.

I only go to arfcom for the ammo and rimfire sections

Thanks for the link! I just bought some! Only 400 for now, I don't even have a 5.56 yet!! I have the lower, just biding my time for the right upper. Will probably get the CMMG upper in 5.56/.223, and a 6.8SPC kit from ko-tonics later.

            Cheers,

All depends- if we go into a recession, or there is a worldwide recession, you just might see ammo at prices of years past.. but not many will have the funds to buy tons of it.

Cheapest i found is Privi Partisan (Wolf gold brass) at around #350 shipped. I'd love to see this stuff at $250/K again.

I don't see prices going down much. Recession or not, the dollar blows. I don't know what market basket the govt uses but everything I buy costs more. Gas, milk, eggs, cat food, ammo, lunch at work, I can name many many things up 25% in the last 4-6 months.

I'm on the fence for this stuff. I just got 1k of Prvi from AIM but I love the Federal XM193. Does anyone know if Natchez ammo needs a signature or not when it is delivered? I'm in if I don't have to be there to sign for it.

If you want cheap blasting ammo that isn't steel cased, Miwall reloads are the way to go. However I think they are raising their prices, it was 129.95 per 500 last I bought 1k of em.

PMC ammo is good stuff too, it's as good as decent milsurp.

I hope this stuff is real bonafide xm193 good shooting ammo; if it is, I'll be buying another 500 at least.
