SBS C&R Available for transfer to Californian's

In the near future, we are going to have a few C&R NFA items that are transferable in California. I have one 870 in stock right now that we can transfer to your favorite class III dealer, and we have a few additional C&R NFA firearms coming to us in the near future.

Due to the rarity of these transferable NFA firearms they are rather expensive to obtain. The Model 870 in our possession right now is available for $2500. It appears to be in original condition as the wood and bluing look original. It is not in great condition, but it is mechanically functional. I place it in fair condition and believe it would be a good candidate for refinishing and fresh wood.

As an added bonus, this 870 still has the Monterey County Sheriff's Office property tag intact!!!

Please note that your local SOT may likely charge an additional transfer fee.

Sorry for the delay. Here's the photo. If the buyer would like to have it refinished & restocked, we'd be happy to provide that service at no additional charge. We just didn't want to do anything that might effect the property sticker until we knew what the buyer wanted.

This barrel is 15" long. We could see about locating a 14" or 12.5" barrel instead, if the buyer prefers.

Unfortunately no. We don't have a showroom and our zoning is not set for storefront retail sales. We also don't have a state DROS account.

Yes, good point. The basic process is for the buyer to indicate which SOT/dealer that they would like to have perform the transfer. Franklin Armory will then generate a Form 3 and immediatly send it in. It takes about 6 weeks for the Form 3 to be approved and returned. At that point, we will ship the SBS to your favorite SOT/Dealer. At that point, your dealer will fill out a Form 4 and send it in. These have been taking about 6 months for ATF to turn around, but when it comes in, your SOT will let you know, start a DROS, and ten then days later, you'll FINALLY have your SBS! I realize this is all a PITA to obtain an SBS, but these are the laws our we must abide by.

You do not have to have a trust in order to purchase an SBS, but it is recommended (see Oaklander for details.)

Lastly, this is a rare opportunity to claim a LEGALLY TRANSFERABLE SBS in California. We do have a few Ithacas coming, but this Remington 870 SBS is here NOW ready for transfer!!!

                  Have to ask...

Under which criteria is this C&R?
