Continental Machine and Tool (CMT) is one of the oldest AR/M16 parts contractors in the business, having supplied firms as large as Colt, and boutique operations as small as Noveske.
Their upper receivers are made using correct 7075 Aluminum (instead of softer, cheaper aluminum) and is made to proper dimensions as well as being properly anodized. Less experienced machine shops have in the past released uppers have used cheap, non mil-spec anodizing which produces a glossy or weakly bonded finish which doesn't harden and protect the receiver, and also had out of spec machining.
Why risk it? Go with an established and trusted source! It's not like these uppers, at $107, are priced that much more than no-name branded uppers!
These uppers are in like new condition, but were shipped to me with paper protective wrapping. As a result of shipping, there are very slight cosmetic scratches on the uppers, so we are offering these uppers at a steep discount
