Out of state to California AR-15

    Good evening,
I apologize if this is in the wrong section but I don't know where this would fit best.

    I am a California resident.
I am interested in purchasing a brand new Colt AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine.

I came up with the idea that an out of state dealer would take one of their Colts and modify it with a Mag Lock system such as the Bullet Button or Prince50 which would make it California legal (am I correct?) and then sell it to me. I would prepay with a CC upfront of course.

Is this something a reputable dealer would do? Is this common?
    Would this be legal?

    Thank you for any information.

Yep, the good news is the quick solution is to grab a lower receiver not on the ban list. Spike's Tactical and Stag are 2 very popular choices here in the People's Republic of California.

NOT THAT EASY..... Colts have different "pins".....

OP: you ARE in the WRONG section..... go read the FAQ, go read the "newbie thread", and then post in the right sub-forum....
