There are 2 Mossbergs there at the same price, both 500s. I don't think Big 5 has any special model guns made for them - everything I look at there is the standard model, AFAICT.

One is the Security, which is the 8 round capacity defense gun. I believe it's a 20" barrel.

The other is the 2 barrel combo - 28" vent rib, 18.5" defense barrel, usually 5 round capacity. This is not easily upgraded to higher capacity.

Just wanted to add that the sale prices are in effect right now (Wed night). I went by on the way to the grocery store, and they had the various shotguns marked at the sale price (including the 20 gauge combo), as well as the other stuff I checked.

I picked up 6 bricks of .22 ammo and one of the CRKT fixed blade knives.

No need to wait for the sale time, at least not at the one near me.

The REMINGTON single shot shotgun I believe is the SPARTAN. They are Russian and tanks. I have the over/under and its awesome. Built like a truck. Not what everyone wants in an o/u but i don't shed any tears when it falls in the mud or gets a srcratch.

Isn't that the "regular" sales price on the Mossbergs that they have every few weeks? I do want another one, but I'll wait until I can find one for under $200.

I got (2) of the double rifle cases. $20 each, seemed good for transports.

i stopped by today to check out the single shot shotgun. seems very reasonable for the price.
