Looks like my TM jig will need a little more material removed but at least it's a DPMS pattern.

Thanks for the update Vaderspade, I'm hoping to try the QD AR10 80% in a new TM jig tonight, how old is the TM jig that you have? Can you post a pic for comparison? It's possible that they changed the AR10 jig when they changed the AR15 jig for billets but until we try it I guess we won't know for sure. I'll update you guys after I test fit it.

Would anyone be interested in seeing a group buy for the QD slick side uppers? They would be $155 each shipped. They are anodized already and come with the door too.

Here’s an older TM 308 jig after I made some relief cuts. It now fits the QD lower, and easily lines up the trigger, hammer, and selector holes, BUT I would be real cautious about using it for the FCG pocket.

I can bolt the top plate on without a problem but I’ll need to trace the FCP and make sure everything lines up before doing any cutting.

Gotcha thanks. I didn't know the DPMS ones were threaded.

I don't think that your AR10 is threaded.

                Aimsmall,

Why not a group buy on complete 7.5" uppers ?

It most definitely is threaded, just like the AR-15.

                  edit - pic added.

MY APOLOGIES . I looked at mine with a scope and my AR10 IS threaded .....sans 4-40 threaded pin . Maybe QD will send us some pins for these.

Sorry about that - that picture was huge. Left as an attachment. That would be cool if they would send us some.

                        .

I was unable to get complete uppers at SHOT for a good price .Maybe QD would give us a good deal on complete uppers w/7.5" barrels.

Alright so now I'm a bit confused, I thought I had TM's newest version of the AR10 jig but now I just don't know. It would be nice if they marked the jigs with a V.1, V.2 etc. so this stuff would be easier to figure out but here's where I'm at. I started making the relief cuts (on manual mill) as Vaderspade did (CNC?) and after the 80 would fit into the jig I notice that the bulge on the bottom of the magwell was hitting the jig keeping the 80 from sitting all th way in the jig. In order for my TM jig to work I would have to put another precise cut in it for the mag well to sit into (see faint red line on mine and notice that Vaders jig already has this cut in it). Seems like the TM jigs vary too much to say what will and will not fit the QD's and/or what mods would need to be done in order to make them fit. Looks like we will be going back to the drawing board on this and hopefully coming up with our own jig. See pics.

Put me on the list for 1. those uppers look sweet! It'll match my QD lower, I can't wait to finish this build!
