    Glock mags

Some days I really, really, really, really hate the California gun laws more than other days:
Widener's has a full line-up of cheap, in-stock magazines and mag loaders for your rifle or pistol. Glock, Mec-Gar, Magpul, Surplus Mags and more for sale now.

I never saw the attraction. I saw them all the time back before the ban in '94 and always just chuckled. If I wanted to lift that much weight, I'd grab a dumbell. The 13 round mags I got with my G23's were plenty.

You know, I would buy one if I could. Just because I can't. I suppose you don't really appreciate what you got (or can get) until you don't have it anymore.

I would imagine it would be painful to load a handgun magazine of that capacity.

This is true. I still wouldn't buy those mags, but if I could go back to '98 or '99, I've have made more rifle purchases, and probably not second thought the pair of sequential numbered SP89's that were tempting me at the time.

Yeah, funny how when you don't / can't have something everyone wants one!

High cap mags and ammunition are interesting:

We just got in 6 of those 33rd Glock mags ourselves but they are for our law enforcement customers. Shame we have to keep them locked up in a Lexan box marked "Law Enforcement Only"....

Yesterday we sold a bunch of the 30rd AR mags for the LAPD UPR AR program but it's a pain to copy their ID, log in their ID into the binder each time they purchase a legit magazine. If I were a LEO, I would feel strange as if I were buying ammunition in the city of LA where LAPD jurisidiction is..... I bet other states are looking at us like we are from planet Mars....

And nice to know we are surrounded by the City of LA, but in a different jurisdiction and we can at least sell ammunition without thumbprint & forms - cash and carry still in the city of San Fernando!

There are still some good things that happen in California even if people think we are from planet Mars....

Two applications for these mags besides wanting them cause you can't have them:

The Kel Tec Sub 2000 and a hand full of these mags would make a nice short range plinking tool: http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/sub2000.html

Open class Glocks in USPSA competition are starting to become popular:
We build competition pistols on your base pistol and sell compensators and sight mounts

These 33 rounders whittled down to 170mm are just the ticket for a big stick mag in that game.

But not in California, no not here where our elected representatives have decided that firearms and accessories available in the free states are not suitable for the populace of the Golden State.

i think the california market probably accounted for half national sales of magazines during the ban till 1999

i personally shelled out $90 each for my 4 glock 21 magazines back in 1996-8
