This new design features an 11.5" barrel and comes in 5.56 NATO. This is not an AOW! Consequently, no NFA paperwork is required! Each XO-26b ships with a copy of the ATF approval letter signed by the Chief of the ATF Firearms Technology Branch.

This firearm transfers as a single-shot exempt pistol. You can remove the 0 round sled when your transfer is complete install any 10 round magazine.

Since Franklin Armory is not well known (yet), I will vouch for how well their stuff is put together. Their SBRs/pistols are well thought-out for functionality, and run great.

Yep, looking closely at these and the guys at Franklin definitely know what they are doing. The trigger is especially nice with no creep and very crisp. It feels like a single stage match trigger. The lowers are stamped Franklin Armory and look like they were made by Aero Precision, which is the same manufacturer that makes Spikes lowers. This is the closest thing to an SBR that one can have in California and the forward grip makes it very comfortable. I'm tempted to keep one and put a "special" muzzle device on it for personal use.

Watching the video, I didn't know they did them in 7.62. Do you have any of the 7.62 versions? Are they 7.62x39 or some other 7.62 variant?

Shooting the 450 BM version in that video reminded me of what it was like when I tried a .50 Beowulf AR pistol.
