Just an FYI, seems like a good deal on FAL IMBEL kit.....

Maybe some of the FAL experts can chime in on this deal. Seems like a good one to me, but I've already got an Imbel....

The only concern I'd have is this.... Refinished bolt & carrier (not matching), bore is good. Dunno if that's incredibly important....

      The lower is messed up.

Overall I would grade it a D- and if the parts in the lower are warn out thats another 100-150 that the buyer would need to spend, That is if the lower is even in good enough condition to build on.

I would buy a NEW DSA before I would attempt that botch job.

        Its definately a good deal.

Type 2 lowers on IMBEL kits are really rare.
FWIW, all the type 2 IMBEL lowers are Belgian-contract made. Belgian FAL parts are much higher quality than brazilian ones, from what I can see it has nothing more than the standard finish wear, park and duracoat it and it will look good as new.

Meh, it's nothing special in terms of the price. I have been wondering if IMBEL made any type 2's, I have a sarco rhodie para lower that I figured for an IMBEL but it is a type 2, which threw me off a little bit. I was hoping it was belgian

The easiest way to tell if a type 2 lower is true belgian or not is to look for internal lightening cuts that run parallel to the top edges of the lower, inside the receiver. If you check out a type 1 or 2 Argie, Austrian, or SA lower they will have true type 1/2 contour but not have internal lightening cuts.

A true belgian SRA lower is actually pretty uncommon to find.

I used to have a belgian lower that I got from an IMBEL kit it had the internal cuts and everything, it was damn nice, but I was a moron and I sold it.

SRA marked but no lightening cuts. Evidence is pointing towards IMBEL. Oh well, it's close enough on the outside.
