I'm selling my personal rifle that I just built for the Oregon Sniper Challenge. I hate to sell it, but I need the funds for more tooling for my shop.
-Surgeon RSR action
-Surgeon 20 MOA rail
-McMillan A3 with Loggerhead C/P (long length of pull at 14.25" instead of 13.5" standard)
-Bartlein .299/.308 tight bore, MTU, 11.25 twist 5R cut at 25"
-Jewell trigger
-Rage Machine prototype DBM (much like a Badger M5, works flawlessly)
-OD green Cerakote and Microslick on bolt and inside of action (runs like greased glass)
I've put about 150 rounds through this new barrel. This is the second barrel on this rifle. The previous barrel only had about 500 rounds through it before I pulled it to rebarrel with this one. I ordered the stock a little longer than usual because I tend to get out over the gun quite a bit. This feels perfect in prone and also helps me in positional shooting too so I don't have my face right up against the scope.
I never had time for load development. I decided to go with 44.5 grains of Varget into Lapua brass with CCI BR2 primers and 175 SMK's then I loaded up all I needed for break in, zero's and the match. With that load I get all shots touching at 100, and I think if one actually took time to find it's sweet load it would shoot super .
I would normally retail this rifle with the trigger and cheek piece upgrades for about $4,000.
Will sell for $3,400.

My shop is located in Concord and I can be reached at marc@spartanrifles.com
