Is there a way to know which danners are still made in the USA? My brother bought a new pair of danners and they were made in china. I am not paying $200 plus for Chinese boots.

Unless things have recently changed. The Made-in-America Danner boots have a small tag with an American flag attached to the upper part of the boot.

From what I recall, all of the Danner boots that retail for less than around $200 are usually imported.

An example that comes to mind is the sneaker model called the GTX.
It usually sells for something like $140-160, depending if it is the low-top or high-top.

It was a sad state of affairs for me to see Danner selling import S**T, but I suppose this is important for their bottom line and staying competitive.

I personnally would rather pay $250 or $300 for a good pair of American made boots that last 5-10 years and can usually even be re-soled.

Everyone seems to be in a rush to buy cheap Chinese crap and this is what keeps Wally World, Target, and K-Mart busy.

But to each his own.
