Do you collect tax on dealer transfers?

So if you have the gun in stock will you match the price?

What you did most likely did was a PPT transfer of a firearm between two CA-residents, who both went to the same FFL to do the paperwork. That PPT transfer is limted to $25 DROS + $10 dealer fee, $35 total.

The OP is not talking about a PPT transfer, but a transfer where you buy a firearm from a 3rd party and have it shipped to his shop to do the transfer. totally different animal, and he can charge whatever he wishes to do the transfer.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Yep, ke6guj is right, PPT and "Transfers" are totally different beasts. PPT is usually in person, and "transfers" ususally mean out of state or somewhere beyond local , or in the case when that party cannot drive to meet that person, they'll need to do transfers (i.e. sending a gun from san fran to LA , etc.)

I guess he is offering to transfer guns for a fee so I suppose that could be a reason to post the thread here but it kind of seems like an abrasive way to advertise. But maybe I'm reading this thread all wrong....although that price sounds pretty well on par for the 2-3 shops in my area, although they don't have much competition because I live in the boonies. Merry x-mas folks.

I hope you guys are charging Cali Tax on incoming guns as well. No need to get stuck paying their tax on top of not making the sale. I say this because a certain agency loves auditing new businesses.

                          Lorax,
If you are going to censor posts this vendor does not like (I would think that a new vendor would welcome both + and - feedback, but I guess not), why not just delete the posts in their entirety, as you have done with many of them, instead of altering the wording to completely change the original meaning and context (i.e., sbjmg's post)- kinda of deceptive don't you think?
I am sure this post will be shortlived as well...
