I received the holster today. Is there a break-in period to loosen up the retention?

There is, and if you draw until your arm hurts and it still isn't to your liking you can send it back and we can refit the entire holster. We pay return shipping via paypal. On the flip side- we do make holsters that are designed to have a heavy draw. Our holsters are deisgned to keep the gun locked onto your body until you are ready to draw with a purpose.

To customers inquiring about seeing our holsters first hand-
We move everything we make and we do not have a store front. This deffinately limits the publics ability to see our holsters first hand before buying. We recently made a few dozen holsters (various models) for the guys at Sacramento Black Rifle in Rocklin California. The store alone is worth the trip and the staff has some of the most knowledgeable and outstanding customer service I have ever recieved while buying a gun. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you taking a quick peak at their Boatman holsters either. Do yourself a favor and check em' out.

We charge more for relatives.
The website is not impressive and is not as updated as we would like. Our Facebook page has many more pictures and up to date information. It also offers a contact form as I check it on my phone daily. Any questions let us know. Plane and simple, gear you could bet your life on.Comment

I'm glad you mentioned the site not having all pic and info - as I was looking for USPc .40... I noticed the USP is highest seller, but didnt see compact option - I'll check out the facebook page (I dont typically do the social network thing, but apparently it's your primary source, so I'll go there)...
