    I received the same a few minutes ago. If I had any hair to pull out, I would but I guess their customer service isn't as good as people say. What ever happened to the customer comes first. They are the ones that screwed up. I guess all you guys that got your orders in early yesterday lucked out. Enjoy those boots. You'll definitely get your use out of them.

      i've been looking into getting a pair of Canadian's for a while and was hoping this would seal the deal... but i had trouble with the site as well.

      This sale was intended for Friends and Family of LaCrosse
      Footwear employees and was unexpectedly spread throughout the internet.
      basically "sorry, but we don't want to have to take any more orders". can't blame them i guess.

          I too left merchandise stranded in "Cart" yesterday. Sort of like being trapped between "Walk" and "Don't Walk", I finally got to the point of entering charge card info but no further and thus No Sale (I didn't call them). I wasn't surprised they were overwhelmed and also not surprised at their explanation. I figured the 50% off sale really wasn't meant for the general public which the email confirms. Remember that nice 5.51 Tactical factory-direct sale last year? As I recall, that one was meant for seminar participants or some-such, but the discount coupon code meant only for them was leaked through the internet (hooray!). 5.11 was apparently able to handle all online orders whereas Danner was not. I'm disappointed but not angry.

            The sale was not intended for the general public, which is why their servers couldnt handle the overload.I dont see how their customer service is lacking, they did after all offer "friends and family" of their employees a hella of a deal. If these boots (my first danners) turn out as I expect and live up to their reputation then I wont have any problem buying another pair at face value.

              I have a direct email address from one of Lacrosse's CS to use if anyone wants it (The wife got it in case we wanted to order more)- Just PM me, and I think you can still get 50% off if you email them your order by Monday.

                  i called danner c/s today and advised them that i tried to order on sat and that i ended up faxing in a order on sat and asked if the would honor my order.
                  i was told no dice, that the sale was for friends and family of employees only.
                  they told me that i needed to have my order placed by/thru a employee of the company and then they would honor the discount.
                  he also advise me that they would be reviewing all orders placed on saturday to make sure they meet thier "friends and family" terms and only those orders would get the orders processed.

                  does anyone have a friend or family member that could help me place a 1 boot pair order?

                    Danner is full of it. How many companies dont have a friends and family coupon for the general public? I like their boots, but they take advantage of the "Made in America" line. The 2/3 of their product is imported(which they dont hide). I buy their boots because they are a good product. I do own some made in the USA acadias and they are good boots. Im SURE that the money they make on the imported boots more than covers what ever discount they gave to us.

                        If they are then they already missed my order, including the dupe. I was informed by their CS that they are packed ready to go and not sure if she can catch it to cancel one of the orders.

                          they already took my money out of the account there mine ,mine mine,if they want to replace the money at 8.75 % compounded daily I'll go for that there not going to review this. the lady I spoke to said there server processed 22,000 boots in one minute thats why it crashed and that by 3 pm they had sold close to 700 thousand boots,now times that just by 100 dollars each you know that they were more than that per boot w/ the sale,,,,,,

                                The email did not work for me, no call back contrary to what I had been advised Saturday. I think Lacrosse got too many requests and so blew it off.
