Tula is basically Wolf ammo in different packaging.

I've shot plenty of Wolf with no problems. I've shot half a case of Tula with the same good results.

They call this stuff Tula, but it is made at the Ulyanovsk plant which makes the stuff that is imported as Wolf Military Classic. The WMC stuff is excellent, much better than the black box Wolf. The bullets from Uly fragment better and it is generally a little more accurate than Wolf black box.

Any danger from running 1k rounds of steel case ammo through your AR?

I have been told that steel won't expand as well as brass thus making it less accurate. I am concerned about it it messing up the mechanics of the gun since I assume its a harder metal than brass. Will the extractor wear out faster if you use steel?

I had bad luck with some Tula marked ammo bought at Cabela's. I bought 80 rounds and every magazine (10 rounder) had at least 1 fail to feed. Maybe my rifle only likes domestic.....Good price for the ammo though.

the only uly bullet that fragments reliably is the 124 jhp in the 7.62x39 loading.

No danger. It *might* wear out your extractor a bit faster but by the time you need a new one you will have saved a boatload of cash by shooting steel ammo
