I've never bought anything from them, but I've spoken with a couple of people who work there. I read a review somewhere else that said they were legit, so I think they're alright. Granted, I couldn't tell you first hand, but they have an address in NV, and are happy to work with Californians on things like ARs, so I'd be willing to give them a shot. Decent selection of stuff too. This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

The web design of that site is atrocious.

I know, its sad... and its what made me suspicious a number of months back, like it was some kind of front designed to steal your credit card info or something. But they have actual people who answer questions, and an address somewhere on there (maybe even a retail location, I forget) so it seems legit. I would order from them. This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

That would be a good idea, if one knew web design... go around looking for shabby sites, and offer your services to help clean them up.This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

Yeah, yeah, but I mean actively lurking around for site that need improvement. This site has been like this for as long as I've seen them, so maybe they think its good enough. But it probably turns potential customers away, and they don't know it (until, perhaps, they get your email

Yeah I hope they don't take my email the wrong way and disregard it. They really could benefit from a revamped site.Yeah, yeah, but I mean actively lurking around for site that need improvement. web developer's 2 cents
My firm's been building websites for 15 years now and I have to say that cruising the web for terrible sites and offering to fix them up is a waste of time. Generally speaking folks that have terrible websites have them for a reason. Usually it has to do with either a very limited budget or that the client is un-consultable. Either way, they are impossible to help. Too bad really, because it would be nice to be able to help folks like that and make a few bucks at the same time.
Of course even if it were possible to help them...you'd have to figure out a good approach. "Hey dude....you're website is really stink'in the place up so hows about you hire me to fix it up?" <grin>Last edited by bpetro; 04-06-2010, 10:00 PM.Comment
