Did he kept the brass? Already that's $400 down the drain...

I just sold another one of these bad boys! They still have them if anyone wants one. I just checked, the MSRP is a little lower at $8900, but make me an offer and I will see what I can do. Cash or checks are better than plastic, but plastic will work.

And I bought a case of the ammo for the gun shop so I should be able to shoot a video here sooner or later.

I'm not sure. I would imagine so. I doubt Barrett re-milled their lowers just for us. I bet you could take it apart and put it back. I might try calling Barrett and asking. I have heard they are great about answering questions over the phone.

Hey, I can still get these bad boys. Come on! One of you wants one!

I just called and the guy I spoke too wasn't exactly sure. He just saw one not too long ago, but he wasn't sure if they welded the housing on the top or it was just pinned in. I asked even if it was welded, could it probably still be removed and he thought so.

So the receiver is no different and it sounds like someday it could be re-modified to go back in.

I should have a rifle to physically inspect in about a week and I will let you know what I see.

Why do you need a bullet button I don't get it.

Seems faster and straighter. Has MUCH less drop at distance. Goto barrets site. The ammo page shows the drop and compares the rounds

The customer's Barret M82A1 came in today! I actually read the manual and figured out how to put it together and take it apart. It wasn't too bad. Man is that thing so darn cool!

Sorry I didn't get a better picture. You can see a .50 BMG round on the counter on the left and the .416 Barrett round on the right.

So the fixed magazine device is so, so simple. They just put a housing over the paddle. The bad news is they did weld it at the top. I don't think it would take much to unweld it should you ever move out of state or the law changes.

I might make contact with Barrett and try and convince them to not weld it. After all, with a MMG, we wouldn't even need a fixed magazine device for it!

The guy that bought the first one came in yesterday and was totally gung ho about taking me out to shoot his. I am going to get some video up as soon as it cools down a bit.

You should buy one today! To sweeten the deal, I will sell you 80 round cases of the ammo with a gun purchase for $375! That is $30 off my already meager profit on a case of ammo.

                              Get the Barret fever!
