    better than a $79 lower

I found a great deal on lowers ($79) here http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.c...13&dir=700|863, but you'll notice that they say NO CA SALES. So....I found y'all a better deal here...http://www.dsarms.com/DSA-ZM4-Stripp...nfo/DSZM4RBLM/ $60 lowers!!! They're blemished but function perfectly.

Looks like an awesome deal, depending on what type of cosmetic blemishes they have...

I'll let you know soon. I showed this to my local gun shop and they ordered a few for me (saves me from paying transfer fees). I figure these lowers would be good for building up some range beaters. I'll probably paint these too, so I don't really care about blemishes.

I have a DSA ZM4 with blemishes and I'll try to post pics later today when I wake up. It basically looks like tool chatter on the front of my magwell. Ugly compared to my Stag, but the damn thing is in spec.

            $60
            Blemished
            + shipping ($20?)
            + FFL transfer fees
            = Minimum $130... and that's assuming $25 FFL/$25 DROS

            Riflegear JD Machine lowers
            Not blem
            $120 + DROS
$155 OTD and you're supporting two good California companies.

Snelling in sac will do as many as you want on a dros for 50....
                    3 or 4 plus 50$ = 230-290 for 3 to 4 lowers....

Yup... The key to a deal like this is a dealer that will let you do multiples on a single dros/flat rate.

True, but honestly, how many lowers would most of us buy?

Like the rguns situation... the only thing that makes sense is if an FFL arranges a group buy (saves on shipping, rguns is $20 for 1-10 lowers), and offers a significant discount on the FFL fees.

One FFL in the bay area stepped up and offered a decent transfer fee.
                        No takers.

Alas, if only this math applied to those of us stuck in Northern California.
