Can TMJ Trading be trusted?

I placed an order with TMJ about two weeks ago for pistol ammo. I also made sure to fax AND e-mail my ID and the signed ammo release form. However, I haven't received any communication from them other than the automatic order confirmation e-mail. I've tried calling them and e-mailing them several times, but I get no response. Also, they have already billed my credit card.

I saw a post here for good deals on ammo from TMJ, so that is why I am posting it in this forum.

I'm beginning to think something fishy is going on. Did I miss the warning? Has anybody successfully bought ammo from them?

You should read through the other thread first. Several of us have ordered from them. Some have received their orders. Most of us are still waiting. TMJ has issued an ultimatum for themselves to ship every order received until recently by 12/31/2009, or orders ship for free.

I have gotten in contact with TMJ, and it sounds like they were swamped by the unexpected large number of orders. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now.

You'll have to decide what you want to do for yourself.

It seems like they are a relatively small FFL, and when they posted on CG they got hit with a giant swarm of orders.

Some Calgunners have confirmed they have received their orders.

I would not make any legal moves until atleast the 31st.

= If you placed a order with us before 12/17/09 (on ammo only) you will have that order by 12/31/09 or we will refund your money and send you the order for free your ammo will be on us if we don't have it shipped on 12/31/09 ( this means as long as it's in the ups system on it's way to you) If it's not in the mail by 12/31/09 you will get your order for free. I belive we can make this work out for everyone and once we have our new place set up we will be able to keep up allot easier with the large number of orders we get, if we can't do this then you are getting your ammo for free and I am sure no one can beat free ammo price.

To be honest, I am not surprised this happened. TMJ is a perfect example how much sales people are losing not selling to CA.

Sit tight for a few more weeks, if nothing comes and it is well into the new year I'm sure matters will escalate.

I have a similar experience except I placed the order about a month ago! They were VERY QUICK in calling back about my credit card number!

I had sent them an email with NO RESPONSE!......

wow I am surprised TMJ is still a member on here, read the post it sounds like a nice opperation here even puts up his phone number and asked for you guys to be pacient. even J & G last year this time had to wait at least 5 weeks for my order.

Have you searched and read the initial thread? It's a lot to read, but people have received their ammo and firearms. It appears to be ligit. TMJ (Mark) is swamped with hundreds of orders. He said he'll get them out by 12/31/09.

Update
We are making head way on filling orders and will try to have most orders shipped by the end of the week. We ship from stock, We make a point of only selling items on our site that we can keep a normal stock in house of. some items we sell are sold out and will have more stock this week, we will be making calls in the next few days to see about subbing out back ordered item for in-stock items so we can get your orders filled this week. So far we have filled 300 of the 500 orders we had over thanksgiven weekend and we get the rest done this week, next week we will be running new deals on firearms and ammo, if there is anything your looking for or have any ideas some deals you want to see please e-mail me at tmjtrading1@gmail.com, we are a eastcoast company and still new to what people in CA want.

If TMJ were to actually send me my order without charging me, I would become their most loyal customer ever. Maybe even move to Maine just to live closer to them
