Mail order provision applies only to handgun ammo. It passed amended, good summary of why we oppose it here.

Yeah, the bill applies to handgun ammo. But since .223 and .22lr are also used in pistols, it is possible they will be affected too.

                    AB962
                    (b) "Handgun ammunition" means handgun ammunition as defined in
subdivision (a) of Section 12323, but excluding ammunition designed
and intended to be used in an "antique firearm" as defined in Section
921(a)(16) of Title 18 of the United States Code. Handgun ammunition
                    does not include blanks.
                    Section 12323:
                    (a) "Handgun ammunition" means ammunition principally for use in pistols, revolvers, and other firearms capable of being concealed upon the person, ..., notwithstanding that the ammunition may also be used in some rifles.
Notice, it does not include the inverse, ammo principally used in rifles and also in handguns. Your interpretation may vary, but I am fairly certain that .223/22lr (long rifle) is Rifle ammo.

Maybe you should take a better look at all the firearm categories, as long these are call AR Pistol, there is a possibility.
So the OP could be right.

a lot of it also comes down to the risk the seller is willing to take. Look at CTD and Midway not wanting to sell certain items that they *might* get in trouble for selling to california.
