I don't have any place to shoot this locally but 1000 rounds for $279 is the best I've seen in a while. $18 for shipping.

A buddy of mine is getting close to 2000 rounds of wolf through his AR and he's seen no issues. Not sure if he has a chrome lined barrel or not though.
Anyway, hope this deal is helpful."There's no reason what so ever that a private citizen needs to own a firearm. Just ask the Armenians, Jews, Cambodians, Tutsis (Rwanda), Bosnian Muslims, etc."

I've heard this for a while now. Most of the reading I've done seems to indicate that an AR can handle steel case ammo fine, it's just switching from the steel to the brass that seems to be an issue. Something to do with the coating on the steel casing.

Anyway, hope this deal is helpful. When you shoot the wolf, the steel case doesn't expand like brass does, so carbon(or something like that) gets back into the chamber area. Then if you shoot brass, when it expands, it gets stuck in that carbon build up and can cause issues when trying to extract. I think that's the way it works. Just have to clean your gun before switching to brass ammo.
