Eliminate excess hardware, weight, and weak points with the Reptilia TORCH! The mount and light body completely contains the battery and is oriented to integrate with Surefire OR Modlite components! Fully compatible with Scout Light tailcaps and cabling, select a TORCH based on what your preferred fuel cell is, then choose by color and to run on either the left or right side. Explained below:
-If you want direct activation with a push-button tailcap -- select the side for your offhand (ie. If you are a right-handed shooter, select a Left Side TORCH to run with your support hand thumb on the left side of the rail).
-If you plan to run a tapeswitch, select a Torch for the OPPOSITE side of your support hand (ie. Right-handed shooter selects a Right Side TORCH to run on the right side of the rail).
-Perfectly sized to mount under a PEQ-15 or similar, the TORCH can be equipped with push-button tailcaps or cabling. Running a MAWL? Orient the TORCH to the either up on the support side (opposite the head of the MAWL), or at the 4/8 o'clock position on the MAWL side.
Seen as two pieces in one, the TORCH is comparable to buying a separate light body and then a mount. You will get some minor weight savings but the true benefit is the elimination of additional hardware and pieces that can fail, as well as snugging that light up close to the rail to eliminate snag hazards. You really start to see mounts fail when rifles are jammed into barricades for supported and covered shooting.
