The Spike's buffers have been a mainstay in several builds around the office, as well as being commercially popular for years. The use of heavy tungsten makes these buffers heavier than mil-spec, and notably the T2 uses tungsten powder instead of sliding weights. Outside of the use of braided wire, the A5 system, or hydraulic buffers -- the T2 translates into a smoother recoil impulse with just the drop in of a new buffer.
