The Hodge Au Mod2 Carbines are coveted for being perfectly tuned to run our military's M855A1 EPR ammunition. The higher pressure rounds will run just fine in a standard government carbine but Hodge went the extra step to make sure that their Au Mod2 rifles will perform well throughout the life cycle of the rifle. Due to that stringent demand, Hodge went to source each individual component and tapped SLR Rifleworks to produce their Hodge Gas Block.
A low profile steel gas block, finished in black nitride, the Hodge Gas Block can be mounted with just a set screw but also features a dimpled recess to pin through for rock solid mounting. We suggest consulting with a competent gunsmith if you plan to go this route, which you should, for guaranteed performance. The Hodge Gas Block is extremely low profile, small enough to fit under even the ultra slim CMR or Wedge Lock rail systems. The Hodge Gas Block is designed for barrels with a .750" Gas Block Journal.
