Any dealers in the Bay Area stocking Sig 1911s?

I've been considering purchasing a Sig 1911- could be a mistake but would like to take a look at them myself. Like the guy looking for high end lowers, I'm really not sure if this post is in the correct spot. Could use some forum education Thanks.

Sorry..no bay area info...Had a friend that just picked up the railed stainless 1911 sig. He ordered it from a private dealer but mentioned that they had the same one in stock at the Gun Room in Elk Grove. I've shot it and I can tell you that it's a VERY nice 1911. I totally recommend it. In the central valley, I would try Barnwood Arms in Ripon, although they aren't the cheapest place on the block. They had a handful of 1911s there last I was there a month or so ago, including Kimber. They may have had a sig, but I wasn't paying attention.

I don't think they have any in stock (it's been a while since I was down there,) but Irvington Arms will be happy to order them for you if you decide to take the plunge. They've got their own sub-forum on the site; you can always make a post asking them what they've got.

Not sure if they have any in the store, but LC Action in San Jose lists the Sig 1911s on their website.

Target Masters in Milpitas has a nice selection of 1911's.

They even have TRP Operators in stock or standard loaded models in black stainless.

I have shot the SIG 1911 and would go with a springfield 1911 instead.

Last time I was at Castro Valley and Target Masters, they had Sig 1911s.

I went to Bass Pro a few days ago and saw only one Sig 1911- it was the railed nitron model going for about 950. The only other full size 1911 I saw was a stainless steel S&W, which did look quite nice. I also saw a Para Hawg and some other interesting pieces.

I ended up calling Castro Valley Gun Shop and they seemed to have a good stock and decent prices. I'll be heading over there on Monday to check things out myself. Al Hoffmeyer's shop has KILLER prices but that is quite a drive to make...
