The term "assault rifles" as you can by now tell is a sensitive term, especially to most law abiding California AR15 owners here on this site.

That term "assault rifle" is used negatively and perpetuated by the local media here to demonize this popular rifle. Some local officials also use that term push their agenda to out right ban their use and owership here in this state.

To me, what you are selling is just a rifle, a semi-auto *sporting* rifle at best.

Is it a marketing gimmick you are trying to employ, thinking that it will entice more people to want to buy your AR15 over the other vendors selling the same AR15's just because you tagged it as an assault rifle? Please treat calgunners with more intelligence...

IMO, It'll only take one screen shot of your ad subject heading, posted in a local newspaper or TV news outlet to blow this way out of proportion...

I'm going to second this, I'm as sick of the PC crap as anyone here however despite all the talk and posturing words have meaning, impact and influence and whether we agree with it or know it's fiction 'assault rifle' is a term used to vilify these kinds of sporting rifles and those that own them.
You can sit there and disagree with it and play internet revolutionary all you want that doesn't change the facts.
