VLTOR developed the A5 system at the request of the USMC. Now, with extensive testing and time on the market it is readily seen that the VLTOR A5 system improves the reliability and performance of any AR-15/M4 carbine.
The A5 System improves the following aspects of the rifle's function:
-Reduces cyclic rate of full-auto carbines
-Lowers bolt carrier velocity
-Reduces felt recoil and bolt bounce
