Thinking of going to Coalinga this weekend (1/24 - 1/25)

Anyone in the bay area game to join or can meet me there? Hopefully you are more well acquanted with the area there than I am.

Want to set out some steel at 600+ yards to start.

Thanks for the heads up. Guess it will have to wait. Let me know next time you go and need a "spotter"

I think Coalinga is a private club. If you are a member you can shoot there whenever you want, but otherwise you need to be a guest of a member or attending a match. Also the silhouette range goest to 500, but I don't know if you can put steel up on the 1k range.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

Coalinga is a private club, I shot them a email earlier this week (per their website) and was hoping they'd get back to me by the end of week so I can set up a time to get a membership.

The steel up to 700 yards (or was it 600) sounds like a hoot, I would be satisfied with that.

You might also keep an eye out for a posting on the next LR match in Avenal, which isn't much farther down the road from Coalinga. Here's a link to the last post on the match. Great group of people and great fun to shoot.

Are memberships available? IIRC, I asked 2 or 3 years ago and they were not taking new members.
