    So. Cal beginner

I'm in the Palm Springs area and looking to get into long range. I currently have a Howa 1500 APC chambered in .308. I'm completely new and haven't shot longer than 200 yards. I'm looking for for help on getting into comps and where to start

I think there’s a 1000 yard range out near the Stumps.

          Stumps?
There's 29 Palms shooting club, they used to do NRA midrange 300-500yds back in the day.
