Word is the 29 Palms Marine Corps will be hosting their Long range matches the weekend of November 20th. Its open to active duty military and civilians. Here's a write up on one of their previous matches:

I read the article and it implies that the Marine Corps supplies rifles. If this is true, I would assume they would also supply the ammo.

Yes, of the matches I have attended rifles and ammo is provided to the Marines shooting. It seemed that organized competition is supported as training. One PRS match at Camp Pendleton had a dozen M40-A6 rifles brought out. Another NRA Mid Range match at Pendleton had the Military Police bring their M110's for "training".
