Speedy Gonzales on Euber bullets and other musings....

I found this video to be entertaining. Particularly at 7:00, where he talks about Euber bullets, and the tweaking of his rifle and load, and the end result.

Without spoiling the video, I find in my interests, many people stuck up on the need for specialized degrees, measuring equipment and a crap ton of infrastructure just to achieve any sort of meaningful credibility in an endeavor.

I believe that there are individuals in this world with experience, insight and expertise that are enough to produce ground breaking ideas and meaningful products without the Phds and millions of dollars of funding. Theyre just good at what they do or just have great ideas.

The Egyptians built the pyramids without education or heavy equipment. Mans hands and mind are capable of tremendous things.

More interesting is the discussion about how much more accurate full length sizing is vs neck sizing.
I have been full length sizing my match brass for 15+ years because it makes the gun easier to run.
I didn't know that mainstream benchrest has been doing the same.

    Most work performed while-you-wait.

I noticed the FL sizing trend in F-class about 6-7 years ago. Almost everyone in midrange and long-range switched.

If I have you build me a gun, can you ream a matching FL die for that chamber?

That would require a resizing die reamer and a die blank.
I use PTG reamers and Redding dies generally match up well because Redding uses PTG sizing die reamers.
Just get Redding dies and there's no need to order a blank and a resizing reamer.

But I did shoot Ueber 108's for a few seasons and they shot very well.
