Hard to find a better deal on steel than here, bit it depends on exactly what you're looking for (target type, size, thickness, stand, etc). Their 5/8" is incredibly low priced. Yes, I bought some a few months ago....

We offer a multitude of different products, ranging from Ar500 rifle targets to mild steel rimfire rifle targets. Ar500 steel targets for sale.

My weapon is sub moa so think something like linked would be ok? I run a zeiss https://www.sportoptics.com/zeiss-hd5-5226479983.aspx ..ease of set up seems good for that target. I can always get paint stencils for smaller rings on it.

You are just used to morons and were being a dick lol no big deal. He gave me a link I picked a product I saw from that link and asked him if that was about right. He indicated what I had thought ..IE size would be ok...

I needed something easy to transport and quick to put together since I use a public range with limited 300 yard spots and the same firing line as the rest of the benches. I have a small trunk vehicle so can't be lugging 2x2 and 2x4s or posts around. The site he put up has some really nice steal I would highly recommend.

So you got the 2/3 IPSC with the reactive center? I hear you on needing something easy to transport and lug around. I'm guessing the center gong is around 5-6"? That equates to 1-1/2 to 2 MOA at 300, quite doable with your set-up. 300yds is where wind starts to come into play, so it's good for intro.

I know I’m a little late to post but you should get in touch with svc707 here on Calguns. He also has som craigslist postings with his targets. He’s in Vacaville and makes top notch stuff. You won’t be disappointed. I bought some 8” plates I’ve used as close as 200 and as far as 570 they are perfect.

You want a target that makes you work for the hits, forcing you to improve your marksmanship. A 12" target at 300 might be a bit large, unless you're working on positional (offhand, kneeling, seated, prone unsupported <no, I am not saying that I can repeatedly hit a 12" target at 300 yards offhand!>). 12" might be a good candidate for 550 though.

Have you considered making the trek out to Sac Valley Shooting Center? There's a steel range there that goes out to 550 yards.

If not too late, and your rifle is sub moa, i suggest a target that is 1.5” diameter. Not joking. With a high bc for caliber 308 the wind is negligible for 300 yards. Its easy to maintain the rifle’s core 100 yard accuracy at 300.

Would suggest an 8”, 4”, and 1.5-er. Should be light enough to move and interesting enough to shoot for all your guns, inclusing iron sighted 223’s, long range pistols, etc.

Anything bigger than 2” is gonna get boring unless your rifle isn’t “really” moa
