    ballistic calculator question

    Morning All,

So I will be using the Zeiss calculator for my RZ1000 reticule but I have a question. Could someone explain the V1 and V2 portions of the calculator including the distances not sure what that is? [IMG][/IMG]

Does the manual give an explanation?

It's probably calculating the bullet's ballistic coefficient based on the change in velocity at two distances, i.e. Shooting through a chrono at 10' and another at 100' or whatever distances you want. Based on the drop in velocity at know distances the BC can be calculated empirically.
